2012
It All Started Five Years Ago...
2012 marks five years from the founding of the People for Change Foundation in 2007. Since then, the Foundation has established itself as a leading research organization in the fields of migration and anti-discrimination. It has worked closely with various partners and has carried out research for international and national, governmental and non-governmental organisations. We have done research on various aspects of migration from access to protection to integration, from access to the labour market to racism and racist violence. (For a selected list of research reports click here).
A number of individuals - staff and interns from a number of countries - have worked with us over this time. We are extremely grateful for their time, work and effort, but especially for the ideas and energy they brought to the organization, as well as their dedication and support!

Over the year the Foundation will also be carrying out a five-year review, in which previous work will be evaluated and an internal strategy guiding the coming years will be devised. In particular, in 2012 we will focus on a number of organizational and strategic changes, including:
- A shift in branding, and within this a change in logo
- A rearrangement of the organizational structure, including the incorporation of some institutes into clusters and the shift of others into projects and/or campaigns
- The building of a new website to include a number of resources specifically aimed for Maltese human rights organizations as well as any entities and/or individuals interested in human rights issues in Malta
- Consolidating the work of the Foundation, including through the strengthening of partnerships and building new links and joint activities with other organizations
