This is some input from YouthMetro into the Indicator creation process.
The table is split into two sections - on the left are the indicators that are being worked on by the Youth Section at the United Nations Secretariat; on the right hand side are some additional indicators that we would like to propose.
Neither list is conclusive; it is a work in progress that may only continue to develop once states pay closer attention to the provision of data about young people.
Moreover, we would like to emphasize the importance of soft indicators - a triangulation of qualitative approaches to be used within what is traditionally a quantitative system (in indicator development)
