Research on Migrant Entrepreneurship

We are currently conducting exploratory research on migrant entrepreneurship in Malta. This participative research aims to investigate the types of entrepreneurship in which migrants in Malta are involved in.

The objectives of the project are to create better understanding of:

-          Migrants’ decision to become entrepreneurs;
-          Understanding The challenges faced by migrants in starting and running independent businesses in Malta.

Whilst the output of the project will entail a report with the research findings, the broader outcome will include concrete recommendations relating to levels of access to entrepreneurship both owing to legal aspects as well as social conditions. In order to deliver this outcome, the People for Change Foundation is:

-          collecting and analyzing secondary research relating to migrant entrepreneurship,
-          conducting and analyzing primary data from migrant enterpreneurs in Malta.

Should you have any resources, information or contributions to make to this research, please contact us on team@pfcmalta.org
